![]() ![]() I'm just wondering when they recorded the Transformers theme amidst all this touring.Go Mute Math.Īlso, did you guys all get the new e-mail? There's so much mainstream promotion (MTV, Virgin Mobile, Late Night TV) about to happen, and then they're on a blockbuster movie's soundtrack with bands that get regular airplay. I talked to Darren after their show in Philly a few months ago, and they said they were taking a break this summer, and then going to work on a new album, which they've already got some ideas for. On another note, has anyone heard anything about Mute Math's plans for the future? I know they're doing that overseas tour. And it beats the hell out of this barely standable version by Linkin Park that was originally dubbed as Mute Math's work. It's cool, and it's a little cheesy, but what can you expect when they (respectably) stick to the original. The band put up the full version the "Transformers Theme" they did for the Transformers movie on their myspace, and I love it, like everything else they do. So, this community is in some major need of participation. The video is fantastic after all.Īnd the info page of this community is way out of date. Watch for Typical on MTV as it goes into regular rotation beginning June 25th, as well as another appearance on Discover and Download on Friday, 6.29 that I even have cable. I guess growing up in New Orleans will do that to ya. It also shows how much range Paul has as a vocalist, doing that R&B thing. Too bad there's some chick trying to sing the words, even though Paul's obviously changed up the tune and rhythm of his own vocals. It reminds me of like a Zero 7 song, but basically, it's just like this lounge version, and the acoustic guitars coming from Greg and Roy mesh together really well. If you've seen the dvd, you know they do a pretty good job of keeping things the same but different acoustic.Īnyway, check this out. I just came accross a youtube video of MM playing an in-store acoustic performance. Hey guys, hope your holiday was fantastic and you're enjoying the weekend. As in, minutes from now it'll start at 11:30 with MM probably playing somewhere close to 12:20. Just a reminder that Mute Math will probably be playing "Typical" on the Late Show with David Letterman TONIGHT. Uh, anyone else noticing how Mute Math's myspace page doesn't exist any more? Is there anybody, perhaps a tour manager that I can contact requesting for a photopass? I'm hoping to be photographing the band's set at an upcoming show in Myrtle Beach. *Alanis Morissette not performing on this show (to be confirmed)Ĭheck their Myspace blog for the entire article (it rants and raves about Matchbox 20 for longer than I could handle.) Unfortunately this tour will be more expensive than my budget allows. ![]() SPECIAL GUESTS: ALANIS MORISSETTE AND MUTEMATHġ2 Verona, NY Turning Stone Resort & Casino*ġ5 Atlantic City, NJ Borgata Hotel Event Center**ġ6 Niagara Falls, NY Seneca Niagara Casino Theatreġ8 Las Vegas, NV The Pearl Concert Theater This will be the band's most extensive tour to date. Alternative Press magazine recently named MUTEMATH the "1 Band You Need To See Live Before You Die." The band's recent live television appearances on Letterman, Conan, Kimmel, and Ferguson have blown minds and made lasting impressions. ![]() Records album debut draws from an eclectic confluence of influences and styles that form some kind of intelligent, melodic rock music that feels both familiar and brand new at the same time. Their self-titled Teleprompt/Warner Bros. It's a daunting task to describe the sound of Nashville-based quartet MUTEMATH. "Exile In America": MATCHBOX TWENTY Returning to the Road for First Cross-Country Tour in Over Four Years Alanis Morissette and MUTEMATH to Be Special Guests Itinerary Kicks Off January 25th May God bless Mutemath and keep them sucessful for His glory.Though, like last Winter, opening for a band, and not headlining. The album is absolutely wonderful and most certainly worth your hard earned dollars. "Control" speaks of God taking control and the singer becoming lost in the beauty of God. "Control" is the same song that was on their reset album. "Chaos" talks about how chaotic life is but through it all God stays true. It is about his obsession with God, how God defines the meaning of his life in comparision to what other people obsess over. "You are mine" seems like it could be about a romantic relationship but I do not think that it is. "Picture" is definitely about a past romantic relationship. Lyrically they are Christian (which combined with their musical creativity make them a rare group indeed) on nearly all of their songs. Musically they are true to form and have a variety of sounds, some slower and others very catchy uptempos. They are a very talented and incredibly creative group.
